This unique multi-day Academy provides an opportunity for related service providers to strengthen their expertise, and enhance their ability to support students with IEP’s within the special education framework. This involves moving beyond isolated skill-building and focusing on how those skills translate into functional, academic, and social success within the school environment.

By the end of the Academy, attendees will be better prepared with strategies to work in collaboration with special educators, deliver impactful, compliant, and coordinated support services that enhance students' access to education.

Learning Objectives:

• Equip participants with strategies to write Present Levels of Performance (PLP’s) that set a foundation for IEP goals, services and accommodations.
• Provide a foundational understanding of the special education process, the role of related service providers, emphasizing a collaborative model, and step-by-step approach to supporting students with IEP’s
• Enable participants to create effective, data-driven, and compliant goals that support accountability and track progress over time.
• Help participants understand and accurately differentiate services that adapt instruction from those that support access.
• Clarify the role of related service providers in the school context, where the focus is on educational outcomes rather than purely clinical goals. 
• Ensure participants understand documentation and compliance practices to meet Medicaid requirements effectively.
