Lunch & Learn: Help Dartmouth College Researchers Create a Video Game for Autistic Youth

Join us on October 1st from 12:00–1:00 PM for a Lunch & Learn with Tyra Boomer, Deputy Director of Dartmouth College’s play2PREVENT Lab, to learn about an exciting new opportunity for schools, students, and families to get involved with.

The play2PREVENT Lab is developing a new video game designed to promote happiness and well-being among autistic youth ages 14–17. The research team is working directly with autistic youth, families, educators, and other professionals to help ensure the game is engaging, meaningful, and relevant to the experiences of autistic students.

Tyra will share more about the project and opportunities for students to participate in game development feedback sessions this fall, providing input on characters, storylines, and game mechanics, as well as opportunities to participate in the evaluation of the completed game next semester.

Special education administrators and high school special education coordinators are especially encouraged to attend and learn more about the project and potential opportunities for their students and families.

We hope you’ll join us to learn more about this exciting project. RSVP and Registration Details are Below,  Members of the NHASEA are welcome to bring a guest, especially high school, and transition coordinators, please include them in your registration.
