MASK UP! Students with Disabilities and Medical Exceptions from Facial Coverings

Re-entry to school during a pandemic…These days are stressful for everyone and some children struggle with mask wearing and facial coverings.  Face masks are now a part of our “for now normal” and many questions are surfacing relative to medical exceptions as well as practical strategies for supporting such students.  Join NHASEA as we welcome Dr. Jan McGonagle, MD, Developmental Pediatrician as we explore:

  • Covid 19 and students with disabilities
  • Helping children and youth with IEP’s who can’t wear facial coverings
  • Strategies for keeping all children, youth and staff safe and healthy
  • Advice for working with parents and caregivers

Facilitator: Dr. Jan McGonagle, MD, Development Pediatrician
