Professional Learning Community (PLC)

This Virtual Professional Learning Community (PLC) aims to enhance collaboration, communication, and professional learning between public charter schools and school districts. The PLC will focus on building upon successful practices and will offer time for problem solving to address challenges related to special education services, compliance, and student support. Additionally, the PLC will foster a shared learning environment for school leaders and special education professionals, allowing time for networking, sharing of resources, and bringing experts
to the table for conversation.

Objectives: 

• Foster collaboration between charter and LEA public
  schools, resulting in improved programming and
  services for children and youth with IEP’s enrolled in
  charter schools.
• Offer opportunities for discussion on topics such as special education law, compliance, best practices, and additional topic areas of interest from the PLC
  members.
• Address common challenges and identify solutions through peer learning and shared experiences. 
• Strengthen communication pathways between charter
  schools, LEAs, and the New Hampshire Department of
  Education (NHED).
• Build capacity among school leaders and special education professionals to navigate legal and
  operational complexities.

NHASEA reserves the right to make any and all changes to the events materials, and meeting dates. Attendees will be notified immediately of these changes.
