NHASEA Lunch and Learn Session with the NHED: Clarifying LEA Responsibilities and Agency Coordination in Transition Planning

NHASEA Lunch and Learn Session with the NHED:

Clarifying LEA Responsibilities and Agency Coordination in Transition Planning

Wednesday, November 12, 2025

12:00 to 1:00 pm

Zoom

Join the NHED as we unpack the correspondence below and discuss the shared responsibility for transition planning for NH’s youth with disabilities.

On October 13th, guidance was shared with LEAs and transition coordinators with the goal of supporting collective efforts in the transition process and to bring clarity around who is responsible for initiating referrals and inviting VRNH to participate in transition planning.

The conversation will continue at the NHASEA Lunch and Learn with Richard Sala, the current Director of the NH Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation; an invitation has been sent to the NHED, Bureau of Special Education, and we are awaiting confirmation of their participation.

Developing strong partnerships is a priority for the NHASEA, and members appreciate and value the work of NH Vocational Rehabilitation and the important support that NH VR can provide to young adults with disabilities. We look forward to unpacking the October 13th correspondence and offering time for members of the NHASEA to bring forward questions.

As a member benefit, the Lunch and Learn Series is offered at no cost to members of the NHASEA.  If you have questions or need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact Jane Bergeron-Beaulieu Executive Director of the NHASEA, jbergeron@nhasea.org.

This event is only available to our members.
