The Trek to the Summit Continues!

Year III: The Summit for New Special Education Teachers 2024-2025 Cohort

August 21, 2026

Concord, NH

The NH Summit for New Special Education Teachers is pleased to welcome back our 2024 - 2025 Summit Trekkers, and we are Now Accepting Registrations!

As a veteran of the Year II Summer 2025 Summit, this year your Summit experience will build upon the knowledge and skills you previously learned, as well as enhancing your teaching experience from this past year.

This year's Year III Summit, and all the follow up sessions, bring together key elements of effective case management: progress monitoring, data-based decision making, and justification of support, into one cohesive system. Summit Trekkers will reflect on current practices, identify gaps, and develop actionable plans to strengthen their systems. The focus is on moving from fragmented efforts to intentional, connected practices that consistently promote student growth.

As you know, the Summit is centered around the theme of “hiking” terms, hiker speak and hiker lingo. Like teaching, hiking can be overwhelming at first; as you gain experience, become more familiar, more comfortable, gain skills, confidence and join some hiking buddies for support, eventually you make it to the summit! Summit participants will have an opportunity to participate in interactive large and small group discussions focused on topics important to new career special educators. Now, more than ever, special education teachers need a support network, and the Summit is designed just for that purpose.

Similar to last year, this Summit is offered at no cost to the teacher. The Summit will include:

  • 1-day Summit to be held in Concord
  • 2 follow up sessions
  • Additional valuable resources

All veteran, Year III Summit attendees are required to register; walk in registration cannot be accepted.
