"Invisible Suitcase"

Did you know that the average military child moves 6-9 times through their K-12 educational career? Imagine doing that with an IEP or 504? As the mother of a child with learning disabilities, a former special educator and the Military School Liaison, Kristen Ferullo will present the “Invisible Suitcase”, explaining the unique needs of military families, the resources to support them & the laws that protect them. We will then begin, what hopes to be, a robust dialogue on best practices that improve communication to support transitions and welcoming these students & families into our schools & communities.
