Join the Drummond Woodsum Special Education Attorneys as we take a deep dive into the roles and responsibilities of LEA Representatives. LEAs are essential members of IEP teams – they are responsible for ensuring that the district is complying with the requirements of the IDEA and committing the resources needed to ensure that students are receiving a FAPE. These are big responsibilities indeed! NHASEA is excited to offer a unique training and certification program specifically for LEA Representatives, this training will address the basics of special education law from child find to graduation, with a bonus section on student discipline and manifestation meetings. The training will also highlight how to run effective IEP team meetings, diffuse conflict, and reach consensus. Complete with practical scenarios and real-world examples, this training is a must for any school administrator serving as the LEA Rep. at an IEP team meeting. NHASEA is offering more than just a training – upon successful completion of this course, including passing a practicum-based assessment, you will get a certificate demonstrating your knowledge of the law and the skills required to be an LEA Rep.
