New Directors of Special Education Institute
The New Directors of Special Education Institute is a great opportunity for Directors of Special Education, Student Service Directors, Private Provider Directors and Building Level Coordinators who are new to their roles! Join a community of colleagues from throughout NH in an interactive, practical problem-solving professional learning experience that will strengthen your skills as a leader in the field of special education. This Institute provides a year-long experience that exposes participants to leadership development, strengthening proactive management and leadership skills to implement a responsive and legally compliance special education service delivery system. Because navigating the role and substantial responsibilities of Special Education Administration is a highly complex and political undertaking, NHASEA weaves three (3) strands into the New Directors Institute.
- Leadership: Strengthening administrative leadership to improve teaching and learning and get the most out of your staff.
- Nuts and Bolts: Efficient operational and compliance oversight to improve outcomes of students with IEP’s and protect the rights of students and their families.
- Problems of Practice: Discussion, problem solving and networking related to the day-to-day challenges faced by new directors of special education.
